Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a Project Director they are a Greater London based full service contractor primarily serving the hydrocarbon market with the capability to execute worldscale international projects from conceptual feasibility studies through fixed price turnkey mega-projects.

Candidates must hold an Engineering Degree and have substantial Project Management Experience in Oil and Gas Sector and extensive experience as a (at least) Deputy Project Director.
Project Director will provide leadership to the project management team, which comprises the project managers, procurement, project control, contracts management, construction and commissioning, quality assurance/quality control and health/safety and environment teams to ensure successful completion of the project within the parameters of time, budgets and quality. Needs a strong knowledge on business development and economics and the ability to manage the strategic aspects of large and complex projects and to mitigate any risks.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Skills required through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering.
Previous extensive oil & gas industry experience.
Extensive experience managing large and complex EPC projects with value in excess of $1 billion / Multi-centre execution projects.
EPC projects experience for LNG Train Plants and LNG Terminals.
Extensive experience in related projects including in a Senior Project Manager and/or Project Director level.
Experienced managing subcontractors and licensors.
Leadership and communication abilities.

Our Client wishes to recruit a Verification Engineer to join an existing IVB team to be based in either their Glasgow or Warrington office.

Role
The role of The Verification Engineer is, under the day-to-day technical supervision and management of the Team Leader, to process out and record the findings of independent verification audits, reviews and examinations in accordance with the requirements of the assigned project Written Scheme of Examination and the laid down Verification Scheme Manual protocols.

Experience and qualifications

Minimum of 5-10 (Engineer grade to Senior/Lead grade) years experience in the Oil and Gas Sector, Petro-chemical Industry or associated Marine Operations (FPSOs or Tanker) arenas, including the provision of certification, classification, design appraisal/review, or verification services for project execution and/or operations/maintenance contracts.
Have working knowledge of design and/or in-service asset integrity assurance/verification process of Safety Critical Element codes, standards and work processes, have understanding of SCE Performance Standards and preferably experience of authoring and/or updating and working knowledge of relevant legislation associated with international companies and legislative regimes.

Engineering degree or demonstrated competence and experience for 5 year longer than defined above, preferably qualified to IEng with the Engineering Council.

The successful candidate is likely to have experience within the following engineering discipline areas such as, but not limited to; Structural, Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, Corrosion/Materials, Instruments (Controls & F&G), Process, Piping/Pipelines, Subsea, Well Engineering.

They are looking for a Technical Safety Engineer.

A minimum of degree level in a pertinent engineering discipline

Have proven experience in the oil & gas and construction industries.

The duties will include but will not be limited to: - .

To be able to work as part of task force team or independently.

Be able to manage the flow of technical safety work

Be competent in the use of proprietary design programmes on Quantified risk analysis and consequence analysis modelling.

Experience in construction site investigations and analysis of cause and effects.

Experience in specification and design of fixed firewater/foam protections systems, production of relevant design documentation (P&IDs, specifications, datasheets etc) and procurement of equipment.

Experience in design of Fire and gas detection systems (development of detection philosophy, preparation of detector layouts and cause and effect logic)

Attendance at HAZOP, HAZID, SIL review and other safety design reviews including the management of resulting actions.

Development of Project safety plans and philosophies (activities, schedule etc)

Organisation and performance of safety audits follow up and close out.

Area classification studies (development of schedule and layouts)

Knowledge of relevant industry codes (API, NFPA, IEC, ISO etc)
