Its Vienna base is a renowned centre of excellence for a specific division of vehicles and, as such, it is of great importance and works with an international perspective.
Our drive technology division in Vienna is now looking for a Transmission Specialist (m/f) to join the assembly team. As a transmission assembly specialist you will be responsible for conceptualising and assembling transmissions for rail vehicles, as well as taking a leading role in developing new drive technologies in this division.
Within the framework of project teams you will design and implement gearing systems, bearings, clutches and machine parts. In addition you will be responsible for overseeing trials and setting up operations, co-ordinating the interaction between participating divisions, customers, in-house production and sub-contractors for the entire duration of the project.
Your qualifications will include a successfully completed technical education in engineering and you will be able to demonstrate experience in assembling transmissions, ideally in traction mechanics. You also will have a sound knowledge of CAD systems, preferably CATIA 5.
You will be able to show excellent across-the-board systematic thinking and cost awareness, as well as a structured, creative and solution-oriented work ethic. Your ability to communicate and work in a team is essential. Moreover you will speak both English and German and be willing to travel.
