Job Aim The principal aim of the job is to support the clients? manufacturing partners with proper guidance relating to product specifications and manuals, during periodic design and engineering upgrades - managing at all times technical/compliance, quality assurance and control processes. Role requirements Develop and maintain awareness and understanding of the challenges faced by the clients? products in relation to legal and product compliance requirements Develop expertise in Product Certification and Testing. Must learn and stay abreast of International Voluntary and Mandatory Safety Standards concerning all products. Give direction when required relating to Testing Certification Process to coincide with our Country Specific Introduction Schedules Ensure that all clients? products conform with both company and legal compliance standards at all times Manage and maintain clients? Gold Standard and testing facilities Manage the compiling of compliance aspects of packaging information including text and illustrations Ensure that all client company product labelling complies with current legislation Oversee and report on clients? product Quality Inspection Technical support for the client companies Liaison with the clients? companies external spares and repairs facility to ensure that the spares holding is maintained and that any problems are addressed Technical support for the Beginning project including but not limited to the technical liaison with the chemist, the suppliers, test houses and Trading Standards and Soil Association Ensuring that all necessary testing is carried out to ensure compliance with the Cosmetic Regulations Liaison with the client companies marketing and sales teams for the Beginning Range of products The allocation and maintenance of bar codes for client products Oversee the quality problems and instigate correction action Be the focal point for customer complaints for both client companies including the writing of reports, carrying out the necessary testing to support our case and the communication with the relevant insurance company and customers Take responsibility for specific projects as requested by Acela on behalf of their clients Be a member of several ASTM Committees for Nursery products on behalf of client companies and be the client?s BPA Technical representative Undertake special projects as may be required by the client companies Education, Skills and/or experience requirements Formal engineering background with the minimum of an HNC or NVQ5. Proven experience in the creation and maintenance of compliance documentation, working to EU, UK and US standards in the relevant industry (FMCG). Proven ability to create and maintain compliance reports and briefs for use both with clients and external organisations. This ability should span UK, EU, US and AS regions.
