My clients looking at employing a Senior Rail Engineer to work on various project Rail project across the UK. Successful engineers would likely have experience in development, design and implementation of rail infrastructure schemes in a railway infrastructure company, major consultant, or major contractor. Substantial hands-on experience of the production or checking of concept/feasibility, outline and detailed railway (alignment, track, civil engineering structures, drainage, formation, operations, etc) designs and calculations will be necessary. Expertise in the use of design software packages (MicroStation, InRail, TerraModelling, ClearRoute, etc). Good knowledge of route alignment, drainage, signalling layout, formation and structural principles and design would be an advantage. Understanding of the key interactions between railway assets and systems and of railway operating practices. Good Experience of railway and civil engineering construction methods and installation. Accustomed to taking management responsibility within his/her small team or project Experience of commercial risk, capital costs, operation & maintenance costs and contracts. Experience Good Civil Engineering B.Eng or M.Eng Degree. Any other postgraduate achievements (Diploma, PhD, etc) would be an advantage. A member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Chartered Engineer. In return, they offer excellent renumeration and all the benefits associated working for a larger established corporation.
