Commercial Manager Needed In International Main Contractor

My client needs a Commercial Manager to join its recently established offices in the UK. The Commercial Manager must have Quantity Surveying experience and good knowledge of various contract forms.

Location:
London City

The ideal Commercial Manager will command:
- A salary of £65,000 - 80,000 depending upon experience,
- Plus travel and benefits.

The Company:
My client is a world-class contractor, who specialises in M&E and building services to the construction, infrastructure and oil and gas sectors. With offices already established across the globe, my client is now looking to establish themselves within the UK market and has just opened a major office in Central London. They have ambitious growth targets for the next 5 years in the UK, meaning that career progression opportunities are likely to be frequent.

The Commercial Manager's Role:
- To be based in the Central London office, with site visits when necessary

- To be working on 5-6 projects within the M25

- A variety of project types including Commercial and Health; however Data Centres will be the main focus for the next 3-4 years

- These projects will be a mixture of new builds and fit-outs ranging between £23m - £400m.

- The Commercial Manager will be working on claims and dispute resolutions and will use his/her knowledge of contracts to negotiate with clients/subcontractors.

Requirements:
- Proven contractual strength, including use of PPP, NEC and JCT contract forms
- 10-15 years Quantity Surveying / Commercial experience is essential
- M+E experience is desirable
- Experience in resolving disputes and preparing/dealing with claims and knowledge of penalty clauses
