Job Description
A leading, multi-national environmental consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to assist in the growth of the business in the Aberdeen office. This role will provide you with excellent career progression opportunities.

About the Role
*Carrying out geotechnical design tasks such as slope stability analysis, earth retaining structures, pile design, foundation parameters and retaining wall design as well as project managing a wide variety of geotechnical based projects.
*The role will involve coaching and developing our expanding team of geotechnical engineers.
*Prepare and negotiate bids and tenders
*Compile factual and interpretative reports
*Liaison with client and team members

About You
*A first degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related Geoscience subject is required.
*Applicants will have worked in engineering consultancy and it would be expected that candidates will be either chartered or approaching Chartership
*A strong track record in geotechnical analysis and design.
*A good understanding of soil mechanics and experience of foundation design is desirable
*An ability to work to tight deadlines whilst under pressure is required.
*Strong written and verbal communication is essential to the role.
*Candidates should hold a full UK drivers licence.
*Self-motivated and ambitious.
*A good self-manager of time and work.
*Strong team player.
