Our clients, are a large Consultancy organisation, who are looking to recruit a Bridge Engineer at their offices in Central London. You will be involved on a range of small to large projects which are industry and public high profile. The roles will be challenging and ranging from feasibility studies, concept, structural dynamics, value engineering and risk management, construction advice and problem solving. Key responsibilities: ·Become part of the bridge engineering team becoming involved and contributing to successful project delivery. ·Working within a Quality Assured environment to produce technically correct results ·Using structural analysis packages to assist in team design delivery ·Assisting in writing proposals and drafting reports for bridge inspections and structural assessments as project demands dictate. ·Respond to contractor queries and attend site progress meetings ·Manage small to medium projects as experience develops ·Be focused on developing experience, capability and career to enhance your own and team capabilities. Candidate specification Candidates will already be in possession of engineering academic qualifications, ideally have started working towards chartership and able to demonstrate a level of Bridge Engineering technical competence. The successful candidate should also have: ·Experience of bridge engineering solutions (experience of prestressed and post-tensioned concrete bridges would be additionally beneficial). ·Good communication and writing skills and be able to present concise reports. ·Strong IT skills ideally with AutoCAD experience or knowledge of bridge engineering software. ·Necessary drive to achieve goals and deliver commercial success. ·A personal drive to develop skills and design engineering capability.
