BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Our client is currently executing an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Qatar Shell GTL Limited for the Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) project in Ras Laffan, Qatar. The Pearl GTL Project is a joint development by Royal Dutch Shell plc and Qatar Petroleum.
Their work scope for the project consists of the engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction of two storage facilities with a combined storage capacity of 900,000 cubic meters; 120 kilometers (approximately 75 miles) of piping systems; and all associated mechanical, civil, building, and electrical and instrumentation works for the project. The onsite work force is expected to peak at 1,000 employees.
The Pearl GTL project comprises the development of upstream gas production facilities and an onshore GTL plant that will produce 140,000 barrels per day of GTL products and approximately 120,000 barrels per day of condensate, liquefied petroleum gas and ethane. When completed, it will be the world's largest integrated GTL complex.

The role is a senior position within the site organization and requires a self-motivated individual with a good all round understanding of QA/QC engineering activities associated with construction.

The Individual will be responsible for defining and developing strategies and plans to ensure compliance with established Codes, Standards, Regulations, Policies, Procedures and Contractual Requirements

Primary Functions:

Understand contract requirements
Understand subcontractor(s) contract requirements
Prepare and maintain the Project Quality Plan
Development of inspection & test plans
Advise Project Team on all QA/QC issues
Review key project deliverables to confirm compliance with quality requirements
Review applicable subcontractors/suppliers quality documentation including welding procedures, NDE procedures etc.
Ensure the effective management of on-site QC inspection and testing activities.
Ensure project quality documentation and records are developed and maintained.
Customer/Client coordination in all quality activities as required.
Coordinate QA audits of project activities according to project audit programs

Base:
Job site office

Uplift:
Single Status: 10% location uplift; 5% uplift for living in the camp. Total - 15%
Married Status: 10% location uplift

Accommodation:
Single status field camp;
Married status company accommodation provided in Doha

Meals:
Single Status: meals 3 times a day provided in the camp
Married Status: subsistence allowance amount to be advised

Rotation:
Single status: 15 weeks on, 2 weeks off;
Married status: 24 weeks on, 2 weeks off;

Tickets to home country:
Single status: 3 tickets per year;
Married status: 2 ticket per year for self and family
