Job Description
A leading consultancy specialising in the design and management of engineering services is looking to recruit a Geotechnical Engineer to join their Aberdeen office.

About the Role
*You will be a key part of a busy geotechnical team, providing advice to clients
*Provide technical advice in the design, management and reporting of site investigations
*Provide geological advice for the design and specification of earthworks and foundations
*Supporting one or more senior staff in the delivery of the design and specification of geotechnical projects
*Research and report on desk study searches
*Design and supervision of geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigations
*Management and interpretation of geotechnical and geo-environmental data, including report writing.
*Carry out geotechnical design calculations
*Assess the cost implications to project budgets and time incurred in activities
*Work towards achieving Chartered Professional status

About You
*First degree in Civil Engineering or Geology
*Ideally a further degree in Geotechnical Engineering
*Working towards Chartered Professional status
*Proven track record in geotechnical design
*Knowledge of geotechnical software
*Familiar with UK construction practice
*Experience in implementation of ICE, DMRB and British Standards
*A full UK driving license is essential
*Excellent verbal and written reasoning and communication skills
*Fluent in written English
*Must be competent in MS Office Suite of software
*Ability to work on own initiative and manage own time
