Main Tasks:
Medical Governance
To contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a medical governance structure and process, with immediate emphasis on the following complex processes compassionate use, product donation, early access and expanded programs; clinical trial design and results disclosure; interaction and communication with local medical functions to support them in the development of their quality system in relation to medical governance; provide training on these processes
To monitor processes that have the CMO (Chief Medical Officer) in the escalation path (e.g., crisis communication plan, medical alert, integration risk management plans, product information committee and introduction of new products within Merck Serono)
To ensure the follow up of these processes, detect deviations and functioning issues and propose corrective actions
Knowledge Management
Create a global system to record and maintain lessons learned from past clinical projects, feedback from ethics committees and health authorities
Business Development Processes
Create global standards and consistent guidelines and processes to support all business development activities (e.g. in licensing)
Skills and Qualifications:
Science degree (Master or PhD)
Sound experience within clinical development
Strong understanding of drug development phases & process development
Experience and understanding in compliance and quality standards
Strong written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work independently, influence and work within interdisciplinary/multi-cultural teams, ability to work in a matrix organization, worked on an international level
Fluent in English, French is an advantage
