Reporting to the Wells Team Leader / Completion Team Leader in the development team. There is an option to either transfer to West Africa late 2008 / early 2009 or recycle to another project team.

The business unit is one of our client's key growth businesses and the business unit is currently building an organization to deliver growth to achieve a sustainable 400mbd by 2008.

The development is a four field, ultra-deepwater (c. 2,000m) subsea development, which will be developed using approx. 36 subsea wells tied back to an FPSO. All wells will require Sand Control completions. The development is the first of four similar subsea projects in the Programme, with around 120 wells planned.

The project is expected to be sanctioned mid-2007, with major completion contracts awarded in 2007.
The senior completions engineer will lead the completions work programme through sanction and preparing the project for the operations phase. There will be the option to either transfer with team to West Africa for operations in 2008/2009 or remain London based to support subsequent projects.

Detailed well completion designs and planning for producers and injectors
Well performance predictions and optimisation of well count in conjunction with subsurface and drilling personnel
Completions input into Wells Basis of Design
Completions input into Wells Project Cost Estimate
Ensure completions deliverables are fully integrated with other project disciplines (drilling, subsurface, subsea & facilities) for PSVM, provide detailed completions expertise/support to project.
Finalisation of all completion equipment Functional & Technical specifications with vendors
Support to Wells Team Leader on contracting plan for completion equipment & services, contracting of completions equipment & services.
Ensure compliance with wells technical integrity and equipment QA requirements.
Completions input into well planning process
Ensure completions requirements are incorporated into development rig requirements
Interface with partners on completion issues.
Import lessons learnt and best practice from client and partner operated fields offshore.
Supervision & coaching of completions engineers to deliver work plan

Completions design for subsea wells with an operator, preferably on deepwater development projects
Sand control completion techniques, preferably openhole gravel packs
Completions cost estimates
Contracting and specification of completions equipment and services
Management of completions/well services contracts
Strong communication, interpersonal, team-working & networking skills
Strong technical and planning ability
Sound decision making ability
