The Product Manger is responsible for the day-to-day management and welfare of a product or family of products at all stages of the product lifecycle from defining a product concept, to defining product requirements, to working across an organization to develop the product, through product launch and the ongoing management of the product post launch.
Main responsibilities are:
Product Marketing for the Product Line by:
? Contributing to the definition of the annual R&D priorities
? Controlling and acknowledging the gate review progress according to the Offer Creation Process
? Challenging time to market for new products
Commercial Marketing by:
? Monitoring and coordinating product launch with central function (Regional Marketing, Segment) and Sales (Automation, ISO)
? Ensuring the transfer of knowledge of products is done along the sales channel
? Defining pricing strategy in line with the current channel to market & local market
? Implementing KPI’s to assess the performance and challenge potential improvement

The Person
You will be educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering, Marketing or a related discipline, with a technical background and marketing or commercial experience. Experience in a T&D domain would be beneficial. You will have a good knowledge of Power Systems and Protection Applications and Protection Products. Knowledge of Distribution & Transmission Utility and Industrial markets would be beneficial. You will have good knowledge of pricing, costs and product accounting (eg. KPIs such as ROI) and be proficient with presenting and demonstrating technology solutions to customers. You will be fluent in English; an additional language (eg Spanish, French, German) would be advantageous. You will be computer literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. You will be enthusiastic, with a participative team working style and excellent customer facing skills. Due to the nature of the role, some overseas travel will be required
