Aker Solutions is currently looking for a Senior QA Engineer to work in Seville, Spain, on the Aguas Tenidas Project.

Duties include:

To ensure the appropriate application of management systems on projects to achieve the company's quality objectives.

* Develop QA plans for a project so that the procedures and systems used are appropriate to the needs of the specific job

* Write any project specific procedures required, to interface effectively with the Client, JV/Alliance partners and AK Operating Systems

* Assess, monitor and audit vendors, so that the project can be assured that goods supplied meet specification
* Advise project purchasing staff on the competence of vendors, so that QA matters may be taken into account when selecting vendors
* Discuss project quality plans and systems with client and alliance personnel, under audit or more informal conditions, so that they are assured of the competence of the business to deliver the project
* Lead the investigation and elimination of quality issues on projects, to support delivery of the project to scope, time, cost and quality.
* Carry out internal audits of management systems both for the business as a whole and for individual projects, and track actions arising, so that systems can be improved and so that non-compliances are reduced.
* Lead the activities of other QA personnel assigned to the project to ensure that QA delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality

Skills, Knowledge:

* HNC-level qualified
* Lead Assessor registration with IRCA
* Experience in the application of relevant quality / environmental / occupational safety management system standards (ISO 9001/ISO 14001/BS OHSAS 18001. Knowledge of the requirements of GS-R-3 (management systems for nuclear installations)
* Experience of continuous improvement tools and techniques
* Able to interact and influence at all levels in the organisation and in Clients/Third party organisations
* Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute
