Job Description

A Senior Geotechnical Designer is required to join the Geotechnical Team in the Birmingham office of a multinational, multidisciplinary consultancy and report to the head of the Geotechnical Division in Manchester. You will be working in a robust, vibrant environment and be well placed to further your career.

About the Role
*Liaising closely with various departments, clients and colleagues
*Site inspections, assessments & surveys
*Briefs for geotechnical investigation
*Design planning & programming
*Report writing
*You will be working on a variety of projects, which could include large scale residential, basement, pile, slope and retaining wall design or highways
*Placement of orders with designers
*Managing workloads and ensuring targets are met

About You
*Degree educated in a Civil Engineering, Geotechnical or Environmental discipline or similar. A relevant Master's degree or Chartered status is highly advantageous
*You will need to have extensive experience of similar projects
*The ability to manage your own and colleague's work load while adhering to guidelines and strict deadlines.
*You will be comfortable in a client facing role and be able to liaise with people of all levels and backgrounds.
