Our client is a nationwide Consultancy business specialising in the nuclear sector. They currently have an opportunity for an experienced technical safety professional to join their Cheshire based Reactor Support business. Reporting to one of the Operations Manager the successful candidate will manage and develop a team of engineering and safety case professionals. Key Responsibilities: The key result areas for the Team Leader include: Supporting the Operations manager in developing and executing the business strategy for the team Day to day management and development of staff with a variety of skills and levels of experience. Ensuring that financial and non-financial targets are met Maintaining and developing relationships with clients Pro-actively marketing the services of the business and winning new work Ensuring projects are managed to meet client expectations and to meet or exceed profit targets Ensuring staff receive appropriate training and development so that business needs are met and that individuals meet their personal aspirations wherever possible Developing excellent team working relationships across the Group, the rest of company Ensuring technology used by the team is continually improved to maintain a competitive advantage Applicants should hold a Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline, and be able to show demonstrable ability to lead, manage and motivate others. A proven record in customer relations is essential, and ideally candidates will have knowledge and experience of the UK nuclear market although this is not essential. Project management experience is of benefit given the accountabilities of the role.
