Job Description
A well-established, leading specialist ground and geoenvironmental engineering company is looking to recruit a Geotechnical Engineer to join the Geotechnical Division in their West Yorkshire office and to win work and build relationships with customers and key influencers

About the Role
*Complete tender, budget and feasibility proposals and win work in line with agreed targets
*Attend pre and post tender meetings
*Actively follow up tender submissions and update enquiry handling system
*Maximise commercial potential by close liaison with other team members
*Understand and deliver customer requirements
*Liaise with designers to optimise engineering solution
*Complete risk analysis for each project and identifying high risks
* Liaise with contract engineers to ensure methodology and design of proposal is fully understood
*Develop long lasting relationships with customers and key influencers to encourage repeat business opportunities

About You
*Degree (ideally second degree) or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, Geology or related discipline
*Strong experience in a geotechnical or construction consultancy or contractor
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*IT literate including MS Word and Excel
*Full UK driving license
*Good presentation and communication skills. Including commercial flair, negotiating skills and being outgoing and friendly
*Experience in civil engineering / building contracts would be an advantage, as would Geotechnical design knowledge
*Working towards Chartership would also be beneficial
