OG0806-365
Position: HSE Advisor
Location: Luanda, Angola
Start: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Role: Contract
Salary: £400-£500 per day
Rotation: 4/4
In 2003, our client entered the West Africa market. They have since built a spoolbase in Angola and have successfully executed work in all major West African countries with offshore activity. Their backlog is substantial and we expect significant growth of our business in the region in the next 4 years. They have therefore decided to develop the West Africa organisation to support the work and sustain growth. They currently have a core team of people, with all the project and bidding effort being seconded from other regions. The West Africa management team will now be strengthened and key project and BA personnel will form part of the West African region. However, the region will continue to depend very much on the additional resources made available in the host regions. The core team will be operating from Westhill in Aberdeen with project and bid teams stationed in Aberdeen, London and Houston. The size of the West Africa team has been determined based on the average workload we foresee in the coming 4 years.
If additional resources are required in other regions there will be temporary re-allocation of resources. Examples are the Agbami project in Nigeria managed from Norway, and the bid support by West Africa to Egypt. Good inter-regional relationships and cooperation remain vital for success in Africa. For this new organisation we are now looking for an experienced candidate:
