Job Description:
Our client Oxford Catalysts Group PLC designs and develops specialty catalysts for clean fuels and other topical aplications. Its patent-pending technology is the result of almost 20 years of research at the University of Oxford's prestigious Wolfson Catalysis Centre, headed by one of the world's most respected inorganic chemists.
This key role reports to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and is a unique opportunity to lead global technology development in an exciting, publicly-quoted catalyst company at the brink of high value commercialization.
This particular role will focus on driving technology research, development and pre-commercialisation activities of their carbide platform for petroleum refining and petrochmicals applications.
Candidate Requirements:
This is the ideal role for an ambitious and creative technology manager. The chance to work in a small dynamic business where your actions have a clear impact on your and company performance must be a strong motivator.
You must have a PhD in catalysis (preferably heterogenous), material science or chemical engineering.
You must have 8+ years in the petrochemicals or refining catalyst industry, most of these in an R&D capacity.
You must be a pragmatic, applied scientist with a solid track record of successful product commercialization.
You should be commercially minded with an understanding of the immediate and broader business environment.
You should have a strong, lively, hands-on leadership style.
