The Role
The successful assistant / intermediate quantity surveyor will be working on for heavy AC/DC cables in the Rail sector. This work consists of both new cabling and some replacement work. This is an excellent opportunity to gain autonomy and show you can handle projects on your own, as you would be working as a stand-alone QS.
The Company
My client is a private company with over 50 years experience of providing construction services to the Rail, Power and Telecommunications industries.
They are a Civils infrastructure contractor capable of undertaking all Civils work trackside with specialist capability in the installation and replacement of telecommunication, signalling and power cabling.
Requirements
>Ideally at least 3 Years Quantity Surveying experience
>A background in Civils or rail is preferential
>A BSc or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
Synopsis
This is an excellent opportunity for a good Assistant / Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to gain experience working as the sole QS on this project, proving they are capable of heading up work on their own. This position will help to show that you are responsible and capable of working with a lot of autonomy, however you will also have the opportunity to progress within the company, taking more senior roles as you gain experience.
