One of the largest providers of energy consultancy and engineering support services in the UK is looking for a Account Manager (Sector) to join their dynamic team.

This opportunity a fixed-term contract starting as soon as possible and ending in March 2009.

As Account Manager (Sector) you will be responsible for establishing and managing the relationships with selected high profile customers on co-funded/commercial services. The Account Manager works in partnership with these customers in order to gain an understanding of their requirements, with the aim of delivering high quality emissions reduction initiatives specifically tailored to their needs e.g. energy efficiency, renewables, business model and supply reconfiguration etc.

Your main areas of responsibility will be:-
Facilitation of external client meetings and public speaking in Events. Reporting to senior level, being involved in processing and managing services. To identify and map the customer journey, actively identify potential new customers and securing their business. Engaging with key personnel across all levels of the organisation including senior management. To drive and sell the implementation of cost effective emissions reduction. Gain an understanding of the customers' business and specific strategic, carbon and energy management needs. Support customer needs in terms of short term and strategic emissions reduction. Design and manage the delivery of a package of services and assess, on an ongoing basis, the quality of services delivered and ensuring that projects are delivered to the highest levels within the scope cost and time lines agreed.

To apply for this role you must be able to demonstrate your communication, presentation skills and relationship management. You will have excellent negotiating skills, be highly organised and able to manage time effectively. Have a strong ability to sell ideas/opportunities. Have a proven track record in project management and deliver projects to multiple stakeholders. You will be a strategic thinker and have good problem solving skills. You will have previous experience in consultancy/blue chip company within a strategic environment preferred.

Ideally, candidates will be educated to Degree level or equivalent. Experience of working at senior management level in an advisory capacity
