My client is looking for a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager with a lot of experience with working with Network rail or alongside Network rail. They need someone with a thorough understanding on process control and a client facing ability.
To support the delivery of activities required by and/or performed by Network Rail to ensure engineering design, assurance, planning and consents, and SQE matters are delivered on time and to budget.
Manage inputs undertaken by Network Rail in terms of delivery to time and cost
Manage commercial provisions within supply agreements
Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager for the activities undertaken by Network Rail and their suppliers
Present overall progress to weekly progress meetings and advise on forward strategy.
Establish reporting mechanisms with Network Rail and review progress reports
Liaise with Engineering technical team and others to resolve queries.
Ensure that all of the Network Rail input in terms of quality, programme and cost meets the requirements quoted in the agreements. The key areas of responsibility and activity are
§Ensuring schedule for engineering activities is defined
§Ensuring budget is properly identified, allocated and managed
§Ensuring all procurement activities for ensuring engineering services are correctly managed
§Provide progress reports
§Support NR in managing their contractors
§Provide interface with MWC for systems element
