Since the late 50's, our client has been one of the most successful food manufacturers in Europe, with an annual turnover of over £400 million and employing more than 7000 people world wide. They have since developed new sectors within the market and for over fifty years have provided both major multiples and independent stores with a variety of different frozen, fresh and chilled branded products.

As a result of continued success, they are ideally seeking to recruit an electrically biased multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to compliment their existing team. Working on a continental shift pattern (3 days on 4 days off 3 nights on 4 off 12 hour shifts 38 hours per week), successful candidates will be responsible for providing technical assistance to all departments on a range of equipment used in the evisceration, packaging, freezing and distribution process within a busy FMCG environment as well as participating in the installation of new systems when appropriate.

Duties will include undertaking both planned and reactive maintenance duties on a range of compressors, air, steam and water systems as well as PLC controlled handling, refrigeration and manufacturing equipment.

It is essential that those who wish to apply have demonstrable experience of working within a food manufacturing environment previously and appreciate the pressures and costs involved in ensuring downtime is minimised.

In return the company offers a salary of up to £32,000 plus 5 weeks holiday a year and a stake holder pension scheme.
