The purpose of this role was to develop the Company Cyber Security forensic capability to conduct formal investigations into anomalies identified in the use or operation of IT systems and peripherals. To act as the principal specialist advising on the methods adopted by the investigation and survey teams

You will be reporting to the Cyber Group Leader and you key accountabilities:-
• Cyber Security forensic capability
• Cyber Security investigations
• Security Intelligence
• Formal reporting of investigations

Key Responsibilities
• Manage the forensic investigation team
• Co-ordinate security intelligence reporting across cyber team to provide consistent focus
• Train and maintain cyber forensic competences amongst nominated staff
• Advise on specialist equipment required to conduct forensic investigation
• Conduct and/or oversee Cyber Security investigations
• Establish degree of potential or actual compromise to security
• Place investigation conclusions in context of associated risks and previous security events to establish root causes and any changes to risk profile
• Quality check investigation reports
• Understand and apply individual responsibilities with regard to the Company’s Environment, Health, Safety, Security and Quality Standards

To be eligible for this role you will need the following qualifications, skills and experience:-
• CISSP/CISM/CISA would be an advantage
• ENCE would also be an advantage
• In depth knowledge of IT and Information Security principles and requirements when operating within MoD and UK legislative environments
• A good knowledge of Information Security management standards and procedure
• A broad knowledge of general security approaches to Physical Security, Personnel Security, Security Audit, Security Investigation and Incident Response
• Extensive and proven experience in a proactive security role in a large commercial company, Government or military environment
• Some experience in a senior security position with responsibility for the management and development of information and IT security functions and personnel. This should include responsibility for security monitoring, auditing and forensic investigation in an electronic medium
• Cyber forensic investigation
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Good presentation skills
• The ability to operate under pressure
• Investigation and auditing skills
• Demonstrable negotiating skills
• Tenacious and able to defend conclusions

Because of the nature of the work undertaken at my clients' site, this post is required to meet special nationality rules and therefore are only open to British Citizens. All selected candidates will be required to undergo security clearance.
