Consultant Process Engineer

Location: Aberdeen, Scotland

Salary: £65 - £80K

Our client located in Aberdeen, Scotland is looking for a Consultant Process Engineer for a permanent staff position to start as soon as possible.

This company is a global consulting and engineering services firm focusing on the energy, forest industry and infrastructure & environmental sectors. There business idea is to offer expertise, solutions and local services covering the entire lifecycle of their clients business and investment projects.

As Consultant Process Engineer you have a degree in Chemical Engineering and be chartered. You will be expected to take a lead role in business development, either through consolidation of existing or establishment of new client relationships. You will liaise with clients to establish scopes of work and prepare proposals for projects. You will lead process and multi-discipline study teams in the execution of upstream oil and gas projects ranging from conceptual studies for greenfield developments to brownfields modifications of existing on/offshore oil and gas production facilities. You will provide technical direction and supervision of junior engineers in preparation of project deliverables and monitor project quality, manhour and costs to ensure effective delivery of individual projects.

Candidates should typically be able to demonstrate significant design and operational expertise to lead and supervise others. You will have experience of managing small to medium scale multi-discipline projects and delivery on time and on a budget. The candidate will have an understanding of HSE/DTi regulations and requirements of the hydrocarbon production industry.

Finally you will have the ability to communicate across most disciplines involved in the development process with good working knowledge of field development technologies available to the industry.
