BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

Short concise appreciation / overview of the function
The specification and management of quality programmes and quality control activities on projects.

Minimum of 15 years experience on multi-discipline projects, including at least 10 years in the Oil and Gas industry with a Project Management/Design Contractor or its Client. Detailed knowledge of ISO 9001 and other quality management systems and their application in Oil and Gas design contracting and project management organisations. Minerals and Metals experience preferred. An understanding of the work processes applicable to conceptual, FEED, PMC and EPC type contracts as applicable.
An understanding of at least one specialist operating process and the associated equipment. Experience and knowledge of Vendor and Construction Inspection (QC) practice and the ability to co-ordinate and manage such activities.

Awareness of the risks associated with hazards in the working environment (Office, Vendors works, Construction site, Operating plant) and the means to mitigate the effects of such hazards.

Ability to plan work to meet output requirements to meet project and corporate requirements.
Computer literate and competent to use the commonly used office software.
Requires a positive enthusiastic attitude to quality management to enable its promotion on the Project. Must act as a quality champion on the project.
Requires experience of development and achieving budgets and of estimating and controlling man-hours for projects. Time management skills are important.
Requires realisation of opportunities to expand relationships with existing and potential customers both internal and external.
