- FEED phase completed , EPC ITT process ongoing .( estimated bid figure 2 BN USD )
• Member of a multifunctional Project team responsible for managing all aspects of Block405b ( North Africa ) Project development including alternative analysis, concept and technology selection, front-end engineering, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and startup. ( estimated Project value over 2BN USD )
• The following departments/managers reporting to Interface / Business Services Manager : Project Controls , Contracts & procurement , Planning , Document Control
• Assist the VP Projects to develop/control budget and staffing plan to build a high performance, multi-disciplined engineering team with expertise necessary to achieve project objectives. Ensure Partner resources and Company technical specialists are effectively utilized.
• Responsible for the issuing of corporate and project budgets in excess of US$1.5 billion and for the supervision and implementation of budgetary controls for the project.
• Assist in project execution planning. Seek out and apply best practices from other projects. Capture and share best practices and lessons learned from project planning and execution. Apply Capital Stewardship principles to ensure decision quality and superior project execution.
• Assist the VP Projects and direct Company engineering team and the activities of FEED and Detailed Design contractors in all Phases. Ensure appropriate engineering plans, procedures and controls are developed and in place.
• Ensure development of fit-for-purpose project specifications and standards. Ensures designs meet project technical, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, and that the designs meet project objectives of operability, maintainability, reliability, and life cycle cost.
• Review design engineering deliverables where appropriate, ensuring that all deliverables are of consistently high quality and that all recommendations are technically sound and cost effective. Ensure an effective interface between engineering and procurement including the technical content of all inquiry packages, bid evaluations, vendor selection and quality of delivered materials. Ensures the delivery of quality engineering documents and procured materials to meet the construction schedule.
• Maintain positive and effective working relationship with other project work teams, Upstream, Operations, Quality Assurance & Risk Management, Finance , HSE, Subsurface and Facilities Planning.
• Effectively manage and control change. Maintain effective communications and the free flow of information between work groups in order to assess and minimize the impact of proposed design modifications, schedule changes, technical interface issues, and budget issues.
