Mechanical Design Engineers to £32k Leicestershire Ref: 9118 Our client has a wealth of experience to Logistics through their team of materials handling professionals, providing everything from preliminary design through system build to operation and maintenance, due to organic growth they wish to recruit Mechanical CAD Designers at all levels up to principal CAD designer to work in the Airport Projects Engineering team which produces state of the art mechanical handling equipment for baggage handling applications at the UK?s largest airports. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for: Generation of design schemes and layouts through to manufacturing details and parts lists Liaising with customers and sub-contractors Site surveys Team leadership Project engineering Cost control and reporting The successful candidate will have a thorough working knowledge of AutoCAD, designing conveyor systems in manufacturing, process or mechanical handling environments and be able to work under own initiative, be well motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to communicate with other engineering disciplines within the design / project team. The positions are based in Leicestershire, however time spent at UK?s client sites will be required during all stages of the projects, from definition stages to system handover. In return my client offers a basic salary of up to £32,000, company pension scheme, health care service (after qualifying period) and 25 days holiday + statutory bank holidays per annum.
