Administer systems, using one or more protocols, and/or Microsoft based network control applications.
Participate in 7*24h standby duties, and worldwide traveling for support.
Plan and implement network security, including setting up firewalls, applying encryption to network applications or connections, managing host security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity and adding and deleting users.
Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendor standards.
Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability.
Prevent system failures by pro-active management (i.e. monitor systems, analyze the results and act before problems occur.
