The client:
My client is the UK’s leading specialist piling and ground engineering company.
They operate world-wide, with a background of 80 years experience in multi-disciplined contracts from soil nails to diaphragm walls.
The job:
My client is looking for an Area Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor to replace an existing staff member who is retiring.
Ideally they are interested in someone who has good, sound, basic experience & skills but is wanting to utilise and develop this in my clients specialist business and in particular to develop on the contractual close-out/negotiations side of projects.
As the successful candidate you will come into the team as an Area Quantity Surveyor, alongside an existing staff member and then develop (hopefully quite quickly) and be promoted to Senior Area QS.
The position is based at my clients Head Office in their Southern Area Piling business. To be successful the candidate has to have the ability to negotiate and close out contracts before my client starts piling works on site
Requirements:
• Professional Memberships are advantageous
• BSc in Quantity Surveying or construction related subject (HND is a minimum)
• 4+ years UK Quantity Surveying experience
• Contractor and Civils background
• Groundworks or pilling experience is desirable
