Civil Engineer with project management experience specifically in the power industry is required for major player based in Reading.

You will be involved in reviewing and determining customer requirements, examining existing construction works in situ, managing the design process of new civil requirements and pricing of jobs. You will also be involved in preparing proposals, which will include demonstrations of networks such as layouts, roads etc. and delivering them to clients. Once the proposals have been accepted, you will then act as project manager for the installation and will liaise with civil engineering consultants, local authorities, electrical/ protection engineers and CAD designers.

In order to be successful in this role, you will have HNC/HND/degree in Civil Engineering or similar and will have completed a formal apprenticeship with a regulated electricity or civil construction company. You will have worked on civil design for utility projects and been involved in their construction. You will also have had project management experience and be able to handle more than one project at a time.

In particular, you will have excellent attention to detail, may be proficient using CAD and will be adaptable to change.
