Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager

A multinational multi-disciplined consultancy is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to be based on an extremely prestigious £35bn project in the Middle East. The role involves working on the new build of an offshore town from inception to completion, which will become one of the flagship projects of the area.

My Client has been named in the Financial Times 'Top 50 Best Places to Work' for the last three years.

My Client is looking for a commercial manager who will be responsible for the development and implementation of administrative procedures to ensure that all contracts are performed in compliance with program contract terms.

Role:
The Commercial Manager will;
" provide assistance in the preparation of bids and proposals;
" provide direction and guidance to staff members of varied functions;
" have the ability to make decisions with understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results and deadlines;
" provide assistance in the negotiation of contracts;
" administer contracts after award;
" assist corporate legal counsel in the preparation of formal contract documents when required;
" recommend pricing techniques for bids and proposals;
" obtain insurance certificates, financial data and similar items that are required as part of the program

Requirements:

" 10+ years related experience
" Must have knowledge of FIDIC and local conditions
" Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Law or equivalent
" Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
" General knowledge of computer applications
" Excellent problem-solving skills
" Excellent analytical skills
" Strong business knowledge
