Our client, a large civil engineering company, is looking to recruit an Alignment Engineer to their offices in Central London. You shall work in a multi-disciplinary environment, developing track alignment designs from a whole life cycle perspective. Your main responsibilities will include: - Undertaking track alignment design. - Carry out the production of CAD generated drawings for modelling Permanent Way horizontal and vertical alignments, cross sections and Switches & Crossings layouts. - Providing input to develop engineering solutions and produce reports and drawings. - Supporting the Senior Design Engineer in the design development. Essential experience: - Experience in track design would be an advantage. - Microstation or AutoCAD experience would be an advantage. - MXRail (or InRail) CAD experience (further training can be provided). - Working knowledge of HMRI Safety Principles and Railway Group Standards. - At least qualified to BTEC/HTC in Civil, Building or Mechanical engineering (or equivalent) - A degree (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline would be desirable.
