Nuclear Project Engineers - Naval Submarine Systems - Midlands
Supporting the specification, design and build of new systems for the future Astute class submarines for the Royal Navy, this company requires a number of experienced Project Engineers to work on site in Derby. These are contract positions with durations lasting at least 12 months and possibly 3 years. Due to the sensitive nature of the work applicants will need Security Clearance to SC level.
The role of a Project Engineer will utilise your Engineering knowledge and experience (preferably Nuclear) and will work in a team reporting to the Project Manager. You would be responsible for understanding the task ahead, implementing a project management plan, gaining estimates and controlling costs, ensuring deliverables are on time, analysing the project performance and making recommendations for changes as required, managing risk and safety, etc.
Ideally you will hold a recognised Engineering qualification to HNC level or equivalent and have at least 3 years Project Engineering experience. Time served in the Marine Industry would be very advantageous - Royal Navy Nuclear Submarines being ideal, but other vessels, Merchant Navy or just very good process engineering based industry experience will suffice.
These are contract positions paying competitive pay rates, and are based in the East Midlands. Contract duration from 1 year to 3 years. If you're interested then let me know how much you would be looking for on an hourly rate and forward your CV stating your current salary/ pay rate and availability to Terry Buckel at ASTUTE Technical Recruitment by email to terry@astutetechnical.co.uk or call 02392 658210
