Senior Electrical Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading Renewables organisation specialising in Offshore Wave Energy Technology. Your role will encompass the Design, Manufacture, Test and Commissioning of Electrical Equipment associated with the Wave Energy Technology. There may also be some UK and Overseas travel to fulfil the needs of individual projects.

You will be degree qualified (or equivalent) and have a successful background in Marine/Offshore Engineering. As a senior member of the Engineering Team you will be responsible for Liaising with Manufacturers for the Supply of Equipment relative to project needs. You will also be required to prepare Functional Specifications for Software Control Equipment and therefore should be conversant in SCADA Control Systems and associated Low Voltage (LV) Electrical Systems. It will be your duty to ensure that the work carried out is of a high standard and conforms to the appropriate Risk Assessments and Regulatory Standards. In ensuring that project KPI's are met you will also Supervise Junior Engineers in Checking and Verifying their work. You role will also be key in the Development of Standards and Procedures for the future Design and Construction of Control Equipment in Offshore Environments.

The role will attract a salary of £35K - £40K with a very Competitive Benefits Package. As the role will involve some travel around the UK and overseas you will require a UK driving license.
