Refining Process Consultant

One of our prestigious oil and gas clients is looking to employ a Refining Process Consultant based in London.
Purpose / Role
Reporting to the Manager of Process for the UK, to act as a senior member of the process group in all areas from initial bids and tenders through the lifecycle of project delivery.

Key aims and objectives

* Interacting on a daily or weekly basis with clients' management.

* Managing a medium size process team and acting as the penultimate authority on process design issues.


Prime responsibilities and duties

* Developing the process configuration that best supports the client's business case.

* Through study and engineering phases, ensuring the process design is further developed and that the level of functionality is maintained.

* As projects move towards completion, playing a pivotal role in testing and start-up of the facility; either in a leading role or supporting the client.


* Conducts technical audits on process design work.

* Undertakes technical training and development of graduate engineers, including duties as a mentor.

Core Competencies

Candidates will have the following skills, attributes and technical experience:

* Chemical Engineering degree with a post graduate experience, predominately in oil refining projects.

* A Chartered Engineer.

* Able to act as a technical consultant to process engineering teams, and to review designs for technical integrity and safety.

* Experience of working with major refining Licensors



* Substantial International experience.



* Strong interpersonal skills, able to influence at senior levels internally and externally.



* Majority of experience will be in the area of design rather than operations.



* Background gained primarily in refining with knowledge of gas processing and/or oil production



* Good background in using Aspen Hysys to simulate Refinery Processes.


Salary's negotiable. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
