Area Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor – Hertfordshire - £40k

My prestigious client is looking for an Excellent Quantity Surveyor to join a very successful team in Hertfordshire.

Remuneration:
£40,000 per annum plus a Senior Benefits Package

The client:
My client is the UK’s leading specialist piling and ground engineering company. They operate world-wide, with a background of 80 years experience in multi-disciplined contracts from soil nails to diaphragm walls.

Due to successful project tendering and the retirement of an existing colleague my client has a pressing need to an Area Quantity Surveyor to come on board and help drive the business forward.

The job:
Ideally they are interested in someone who has good, sound, basic experience & skills but is wanting to utilise and develop this in my clients specialist business and in particular to develop on the contractual close-out/negotiations side of projects.

As the successful candidate you will come into the team as an Area Quantity Surveyor, alongside an existing staff member and then develop (hopefully quite quickly) and be promoted to Senior Area QS.

The position is based at my clients Head Office in their Southern Area Piling business. To be successful the candidate has to have the ability to negotiate and close out contracts before my client starts piling works on site

Requirements:
• Some contractual knowledge is beneficial
• Educated to HND/HNC level
• 5-8+ years UK Quantity Surveying experience
• Main Contractor or Sub Contractor and Civils background
• NEC forms of contract experience is desirable
