Assistant Construction Planner - Birmingham

Our client requires an assistant construction planner to be based from their office in Solihull. The relevant project planner / construction planner will have at least 1 years construction planning experience. The role will incorporate both tender planning and contract planning on a range of projects, including luxury apartments, care homes, student housing, to name a few.

This client is a dynamic national contractor with a UK wide network of regional offices. Their diverse portfolio of projects includes schools, commercial buildings, hospitals, leisure and retail to name just a few. Type of work carried out includes refurbishment, traditional contracting, new build and design and build. Typically projects range from £1mn to £20mn.

Essential skills:

-The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years construction planning experience
-You will have knowledge of construction projects of a similar nature to the work the client carries out (e.g. care homes, schools, student housing etc)
-Some knowledge of planning software is essential
-Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential as you will be communicating with other Senior Planners and planning staff internally and both clients and other contractors externally
You will work within the planning department, and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

-Tender Planning
-Contract Planning
-Progress monitoring and progress reporting
-Site visits
