My client are a UK based worldwide offshore geotechnical site investigation and foundation engineering consultancy. They are currently looking to augment staff levels with the recruitment of a Geotechnical Engineer to help deal with the ever increasing workload. Whilst offshore, the position will consist of geotechnical control of project fieldwork fom geotechnical drilling vessels. Overseeing geotechnical drilling and sampling, rock coring and cone penetration testing. The onshore aspect of the role will involve the processing and interpretation og geotechnical data and the creation of geotechnical reports. It will also involve foundation design work, bearing capacity calculations, piled foundation design and pile driving analyses. The successful candidate will be one who holds a relevant degree to geotechnical engineering or engineering geology. You will also have a previous 2 years or more experience undertaking geotechnical site investigations and design consultancy work. Any experience working offshore is advantageous, though not entirely essential. With projects across the globe, there is an excellent opportunity for over seas work is desired.
