Our client, a prestigious consultancy, is looking to recruit a Design Section Manager to their offices in Swindon. You will be responsible for the management and development of the Design Team within the Civil & Structural Engineering (CSE) team. As part of your role you will be responsible for delivery of projects, also compiling fee bids / proposals for single and multi disciplined projects, marketing, and ensuring compliance with QA procedures. The design team will be undertaking a wide range of rail related projects, including bridgeworks, station buildings, platforms and other rail infrastructure works. It is essential for you to be a Chartered Engineer (MICE). You will be an experienced Railway Civil & Structural Engineer, with good experience of bridge design and construction. You must have good leadership and mentoring skills. You will need to be highly motivated, proactive and a good team player. Communication skills must be excellent. You will be willing to travel in the UK and overseas. It is desirable that you are educated to Degree level or equivalent. Ideally you will have some experience of structural analysis software and commercial awareness. Some project management experience would be advantageous.
